1933 Structo, No. 2814 Electrified Heavy Duty Wrecking Auto Truck
Structo’s series of high-end construction toy products were heavier, larger, electrified, and came with solid black rubber whitewall tires. They were top of the Struto line and are very difficult to find. Although the boom is missing, this example of their solid baked white enamel Wrecking Auto Truck is one of the toughest to find in the series. Measuring over 2ft. long and weighing over 4 pounds it features a closed cab, separate fender and running board assembly, paint coordinated headlight covers with original electric bar, original battery clip, original headlight on/off lever, heavy duty trailer frame, and super strong long bed. It has both correct size headlights, but one is original. The filaments are intact, although I got only one to work. It has all four original black rubber whitewall tires and both original Structo decals. As mentioned it’s missing the boom, despite that I still thought it looked fantastic . The only other example I’ve seen in this condition was from the Kaufman collection. Size: 25½â€.
